1 · What the graph read from it

What it found

Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.

The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.

2 · The registry

The trial behind it

Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract

backgroundHyperactivity of the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1) is implicated in a variety of diseases such as cancer and diabetes. Treatment may benefit from effective mTORC1 inhibition, which can be achieved by preventing arginine from disrupting the cytosolic arginine sensor for mTORC1 subunit 1 (CASTOR1)-GTPase-activating proteins toward RAGS subcomplex 2 (GATOR2) complex through binding with CASTOR1. An attractive idea is to determine analogues of arginine that are as competent as arginine in binding with CASTOR1, but without disrupting the CASTOR1-GATOR2 interaction. MATERIALS AND

methodsMolecular dynamics simulations were performed for binding of arginine analogues with CASTOR1 and binding free energy, hydrogen bond formation, and root mean squared deviation and root mean square fluctuation kinetics were then calculated.
