Automated segmentation and analysis of retinal microglia within ImageJ.
Article in Experimental eye research, 2021. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 6 papers.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
Microglia are immune cells of the central nervous system capable of distinct phenotypic changes and migration in response to injury. These changes most notably include the retraction of fine dendritic structures and adoption of a globular, phagocytic morphology. Due to their characteristic responses, microglia frequently act as histological indicators of injury progression. While algorithms seeking to automate microglia counts and morphological analysis are becoming increasingly popular, few exist that are adequate for use within the retina and manual analysis remains prevalent. To address this, we propose a novel segmentation routine, implemented within FIJI-ImageJ, to perform automated segmentation and cell counting of retinal microglia. We show that our routine could perform cell counts with accuracy similar to manual observers using the I307N Rho model. Tracking cell position relative to retinal vasculature, we observed population migration towards the photoreceptor layer beginning 12 h post light damage. Using feature selection with Chi
