1 · What the graph read from it

What it found

Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.

The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.

2 · The registry

The trial behind it

Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract

Objectives: Methods: U251 cells (a human glioma cell line) were treated with different concentrations of ASP. miR-373-3p was silenced in U251 cells by the transfection of the miR-373-3p inhibitor. Cell viability and apoptosis were measured by CCK-8 assay and flow cytometry, respectively. Cell migration and invasion were detected by wound healing and transwell assays, respectively. The miR-373-3p expression was measured by RT-qPCR. The protein expressions of TGF- Results: ASP inhibited the viability, migration, and invasion, and enhanced the apoptosis of U251 cells in a dose-dependent manner. ASP increased miR-373-3p expression and decreased TGF- Conclusions: ASP suppresses the malignant progression of glioma via regulating the miR-373-3p-mediated TGF-
