Left atrial epicardial adipose tissue is associated with low voltage zones in the left atrium in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation.
Article in Frontiers in cardiovascular medicine, 2022. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 12 papers, 1 of them a synthesis that pooled it.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.
Who cites it
12 citing papers in PubMed, 1 synthesis or guideline pooled it, 20 citations in OpenAlex.

Abstract
Objective: Epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) is related to atrial fibrillation (AF), but the specific mechanism is still unclear. Left atrial (LA) low voltage zones (LVZ) can well reflect atrial fibrosis. This study investigated the relationship between EAT and LVZ in non-valvular AF (NVAF) patients. Methods: This observational study including patients with NVAF ( Results: Patients with AF showed higher LA-EAT volume and lower attenuation value than controls (29.7 ± 11.2 cm Conclusion: LA-EAT volume and attenuation values can independently predict the presence of LVZ, and LA-EAT attenuation has a better predictive value than LA-EAT volume.
