CD146 expression profile in human skin and pre-vascularized dermo-epidermal skin substitutes in vivo.
Article in Journal of biological engineering, 2023. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 10 papers.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
backgroundCD146 is a cell adhesion molecule whose expression profile in human skin has not yet been elucidated. Here, we characterize CD146 expression pattern in human skin, in particular in blood endothelial cells (BECs) and lymphatic endothelial cells (LECs), which constitute human dermal microvascular endothelial cells (HDMECs), as well as in perivascular cells.
resultsWe demonstrated that CD146 is a specific marker of BECs, but not of LECs. Moreover, we found CD146 expression also in human pericytes surrounding blood capillaries in human skin. In addition, we demonstrated that CD146 expression is up-regulated by the TNFα-IL-1β/NF-kB axis in both BECs and pericytes. Finally, we engineered 3D collagen hydrogels composed of HDMECs, CD146
conclusionsOverall, our results proved that CD146 is a specific marker of BECs and pericytes, but not LECs in human skin. Further, the combination of CD146
