Plasma Markers for Early Prediction of Radiation-Induced Myocardial Damage.
Article in Journal of interferon & cytokine research : the official journal of the International Society for Interferon and Cytokine Research, 2023. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 2 papers.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
There is no sensitive and effective method to predict radiation-induced myocardial damage (RIMD). The aim of this study was to explore effective plasma biomarkers for early prediction of RIMD after radiotherapy (RT) in lung cancer patients and in a rat model. Biomarker levels were measured in plasma samples collected before and after thoracic RT from 17 lung cancer patients. For the animal model, a single radiation dose of 40 Gy was delivered to the cardiac apex of female Wistar rats. Control rats received sham irradiation (0 Gy). Dynamic plasma biomarker detection and histopathological analysis to confirm RIMD were performed in rats up to 6 months after RT. In lung cancer patients, the plasma caspase-3 concentration was significantly increased after thoracic RT (
