Abstract

Transmembrane prolyl 4-hydroxylase (P4H-TM) is an enigmatic enzyme whose cellular function and primary substrate remain to be identified. Its loss-of-function mutations cause a severe neurological HIDEA syndrome with hypotonia, intellectual disability, dysautonomia and hypoventilation.
