Application of three-dimensional speckle tracking technique in measuring left ventricular myocardial function in patients with diabetes.
Article in World journal of diabetes, 2024. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 1 paper.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
backgroundDiabetic cardiomyopathy is considered as a chronic complication of diabetes mellitus (DM). Therefore, early detection of left ventricular systolic function (LVSF) damage in DM is essential.
aimTo explore the use of the three-dimensional speckle tracking technique (3D-STI) for measuring LVSF in DM patients
methodsThe electronic databases were retrieved from the initial accessible time to 29 April 2023. The current study involved 9 studies, including 970 subjects. We carried out this meta-analysis to estimate myocardial function in DM compared with controls according to myocardial strain attained by 3D-STI.
resultsNight articles including 970 subjects were included. No significant difference was detected in the left ventricular ejection fraction between the control and the diabetic group (
conclusionThe 3D-STI could be applied to accurately measure early LVSF damage in patients with DM.
