Necroptosis is a programmed cell death form executed by receptor-interacting protein kinase (RIPK) 1, RIPK3 and mixed lineage kinase domain-like protein (MLKL), which assemble into an oligomer called necrosome. Accumulating evidence reveals that necroptosis participates in many types of pathological processes.
