1 · What the graph read from it

What it found

Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.

The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.

2 · The registry

The trial behind it

Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract

backgroundMicroRNAs (miRNAs) are critical regulators of cancer progression, prompting our investigation into the specific function of miR-630 in pancreatic cancer stem cells (PCSCs). Analysis of miRNA and mRNA expression data in PCSCs revealed downregulation of miR-630 and upregulation of PRKCI, implying a potential role for miR-630 in PCSC function and tumorigenicity.

resultsFunctional assays confirmed that miR-630 directly targets PRKCI, leading to the suppression of the Hedgehog signaling pathway and consequent inhibition of PCSC self-renewal and tumorigenicity in murine models. This study unveiled the modulation of the PRKCI-Hedgehog signaling axis by miR-630, highlighting its promising therapeutic potential for pancreatic cancer (PC) treatment.

conclusionsMiR-630 emerges as a pivotal regulator in PCSC biology, opening up new avenues for targeted interventions in PC. The inhibitory effect of miR-630 on PCSC behavior underscores its potential as a valuable therapeutic target, offering insights into innovative treatment strategies for this challenging disease.
