1 · What the graph read from it

What it found

Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.

The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.

2 · The registry

The trial behind it

Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract

Collagen VI-related dystrophies (COL6RD) are a group of rare muscle disorders caused by mutations in specific genes responsible for type VI collagen production. It affects muscles, joints, and connective tissues, leading to weakness, joint problems, and structural issues. Currently, there is no effective treatment for COL6RD; its management typically addresses symptoms and complications. Therefore, it is essential to decipher the disease's molecular mechanisms, identify drug targets, and develop effective treatment strategies to treat COL6RD. In this study, we employed differential gene expression analysis, weighted gene co-expression network analysis, and genome-scale metabolic modeling to investigate gene expression patterns in COL6RD patients, uncovering key genes, significant metabolites, and disease-related pathophysiological pathways. First, we performed differential gene expression and weighted gene co-expression network analyses, which led to the identification of 12 genes (
