Synergistic effects of MK-1775 and gemcitabine on cytotoxicity in non-small cell lung cancer.
Article in Heliyon, 2024. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 4 papers.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
Background: Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remains a leading cause of cancer-related mortality. Chemotherapy is crucial in NSCLC treatment, and targeting Wee1 kinase, a key regulator of the G2/M cell cycle checkpoint, may enhance the efficacy of cytotoxic agents. This study investigates the potential of the Wee1 inhibitor MK-1775 in combination with gemcitabine and pemetrexed to enhance cytotoxicity in NSCLC cell lines. Methods: Human NSCLC cell lines H1975, HCC827, A549, and H460 were treated with MK-1775 and chemotherapeutic agents, both alone and in combination. Growth inhibitory effects were assessed using the CCK8 assay. Apoptotic markers were evaluated via Western blotting, and cell cycle distribution was analyzed using FACS. Results: MK-1775 combined with gemcitabine or pemetrexed significantly decreased cell survival rates and IC Conclusions: MK-1775 enhances the cytotoxic effects of gemcitabine and pemetrexed in NSCLC cell lines and effectively inhibits tumor growth
