Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Expression of Adipose-Derived Stromal Cells and Adipocytes Initiated from Fat Aspirations.
Article in Aesthetic plastic surgery, 2025. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 2 papers.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
backgroundFat grafting is frequently employed in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery with a low complication rate. However, fat necrosis may occur in dependence of the mode of fat aspiration, processing of the tissue and graft size. Graft survival is critically dependent on the contained adipose-derived stromal cells (ADSCs), adipocyte precursors and their potential for vascular supply. This work investigated the potential role of the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF) and various cytokines by ADSCs and differentiated adipocytes as key factors of fat grafting.
methodsAdipokine expression of ADSCs and differentiated adipocytes were assessed using Proteome Profiler Arrays that detect 58 relevant proteins.
resultsCollected fat grafts could be categorized according to their adipokine expression into VEGF
conclusionHalf of the ADSCs from fat grafts express high concentrations of VEGF and other adipokines that support angiogenesis and survival of this tissues following transfer. Differentiation of ADSC NO LEVEL ASSIGNED: This journal requires that authors assign a level of evidence to each submission to which Evidence-Based Medicine rankings are applicable. This excludes Review Articles, Book Reviews, and manuscripts that concern Basic Science, Animal Studies, Cadaver Studies, and Experimental Studies.
