Article in BMC nursing, 2025. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. It is linked to trial NCT06203730 (Application of Dyadic Psychological Intervention Strategy Based on Double ABC-X Model in Patients With Maintenance Hemodialysis), which is not on this map. 1 · What the graph read from it

What it found

Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.

The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.

2 · The registry

The trial behind it

Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Abstract

backgroundHaemodialysis may affect the changes in the patient's relationship with the family, and eventually cause some psychological distress to the patient and affect the health-related quality of life. This study examines the effectiveness of the dyadic psychoeducational intervention on patients' quality of life and psychosocial health, as well as caregiver burden and psychosocial outcomes among caregivers.

methodsThis is a parallel, two-arm, assessor-blind, randomised controlled trial with a repeated-measures design. A total of 80 haemodialysis dyads (patient and family caregivers) randomly assigned to the intervention group or control group with usual care (N = 40 dyads per group). The intervention included 4-week dyadic psychoeducational intervention. At before intervention (T

resultsEffects of dyadic psychoeducational intervention: The result of adjusting the GEE model shows that dyadic psychoeducational intervention can effectively improve patients' quality of life (T

conclusionsThe dyadic psychoeducational intervention can improve the psychosocial outcomes of haemodialysis dyads. This intervention provides effective ways and measures for the relevant psychological education intervention and provides new ideas and evidence for clinical nursing research.

trial registrationThis study was retrospectively registered as a randomized controlled trial in the ClinicalTrials Registry. Registration Date: April 16, 2024. REGISTRATION NUMBER: NCT06203730.
