1 · What the graph read from it

What it found

Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.

The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.

2 · The registry

The trial behind it

Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract

The main reason for the failure of chemotherapy therapies based on 5-Fluorouracil (5-Fu) is the development of resistance to 5-Fu in cancer patients, particularly those with colorectal cancer. Tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases 2 (TIMP-2) has been shown to be associated with colorectal cancer (CRC), but its correlation with 5-Fu resistance in colorectal cancer has not been thoroughly studied. We screen the expression of different cytokines through Cytokine array. CCK-8 assay was conducted to evaluate the IC
