The mitochondria-associated endoplasmic reticulum membrane is implicated in atherosclerosis (AS). However, its precise molecular mechanisms remain undefined. This study identified KLRC1 and SOCS2 as key protective genes against AS through transcriptomic analysis integrated with Mendelian randomization.
