1 · What the graph read from it

What it found

Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.

The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.

2 · The registry

The trial behind it

Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract

Metabolic dysfunction is increasingly implicated in neurodegenerative diseases, yet the genetic architecture linking metabolic markers with Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Parkinson's disease (PD) remains unclear. We systematically analysed phenotypic and genetic relationships between 249 circulating metabolites with AD and PD, comparing patterns to body mass index (BMI), type 2 diabetes (T2D), coronary artery disease (CAD) and stroke. Using linkage disequilibrium score regression and bivariate Gaussian mixture modeling, we identified distinct genetic overlap. AD correlated positively with cardiometabolic traits (BMI, r
