Efficacy and safety of Qishen granule for treating heart failure with preserved ejection fraction: a study protocol for a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial.
Article in BMC complementary medicine and therapies, 2025. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. It is linked to trial NCT06377761 (A Randomized, Double-blind, Placebo-controlled Study on the Treatment of Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction with Qishen Granules Based on Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test), which is not on this map. What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Abstract
backgroundHeart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is a multifaceted clinical condition that comprises nearly 50% of all heart failure cases, making it a significant clinical challenge. Qishen granule (QSG) is a promising traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatment that shows cardioprotective potential against chronic heart failure, as evidenced in previous studies. This trial intends to perform a prospective clinical study to observe the efficacy and safety of QSG on HFpEF.
methodsThis is a multicenter, prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial. Eighty eligible participants with HFpEF will be enrolled and randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio and receive either the QSG treatment or placebo for 12 weeks, with all participants maintaining guideline-directed HFpEF therapy throughout the study period. The primary outcomes are changes in peak VO DISCUSSION: This study's result may establish clinical evidence supporting QSG's therapeutic benefits and safety in HFpEF management.
