Article in European journal of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Not yet cited in PubMed.

1 · What the graph read from it

What it found

Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.

The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.

2 · The registry

The trial behind it

Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract

objectiveTo investigate the predictive value of pretreatment

methodsThis retrospective study included 19 patients with locally advanced ESCC who underwent nCRT followed by surgery at Shandong Cancer Hospital from March 2022 to May 2023. Pretreatment clinical baseline data,

resultsAmong 19 patients, 11 achieved pCR, and 8 achieved non-pCR status. Univariate and multivariate analyses identified metabolic tumor volume (MTV) (OR = 0.978, p = 0.017) and platelet count (PLT) (OR = 1.003, p = 0.016) as independent predictors of pCR. By fitting a logistic regression model, the two-parameter joint model reached an AUC of 0.909, which was significantly better than the single indicator (MTV, AUC = 0.716; PLT, AUC = 0.761). The nomogram demonstrated that lower MTV (optimal threshold  ≤ 27.47) and higher PLT (optimal threshold  ≥ 330.5) values were associated with a higher likelihood of pCR.
