Cough-Induced Contraction Response Time and Strength of the Pelvic Floor Muscles Between Women with and Without Stress Urinary Incontinence.
Article in Sensors (Basel, Switzerland), 2025. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 1 paper.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
Anatomic and functional changes in the pelvic floor muscles (PFMs) have been associated with stress urinary incontinence (SUI). The aim of this study is to compare cough-induced contraction response time and PFM strength in women with and without SUI. This cross-sectional study evaluated 40 women (20 with and 20 without SUI) aged 20 to 60 years. PFM strength was measured using a vaginal dynamometer. The cough signal was captured using an accelerometer, and activity of the right external oblique muscle was measured using surface electromyography. All signals were synchronized and recorded using the same signal acquisition module. Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) with the Bonferroni post hoc test was used to compare the dynamometric data between groups (control and SUI). No significant differences were found between groups regarding variables related to PFM strength, but significant differences were found for activation time of the PFMs (F = 59.42,
