Association between 24-hour movement behaviors and perceived stress in Chinese university students: a compositional data analysis.
Article in Frontiers in psychology, 2025. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 2 papers.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
Objective: This study used objectively measured data and compositional data analysis to examine the relationship between 24-hour movement behaviors and perceived stress in Chinese university students. Methods: Cross-sectional data were collected from 208 Chinese university students (mean age = 20.23 years, 52.9% female). Accelerometers were used to measure 24-hour movement behaviors, including moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA), light physical activity (LPA), sedentary behavior (SB), and sleep. The Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-14) assessed perceived stress. Compositional data methods were applied to analyze the relationship between the proportion of time spent in 24-hour activities and perceived stress. Results: Compositional regression analysis indicated that time spent in MVPA ( Conclusion: The proportion of time spent in MVPA and LPA was negatively associated with perceived stress among university students. Replacing sedentary behavior with MVPA or LPA was associated with lower perceived stress. However, these findings should be interpreted with caution due to the study's cross-sectional design and reliance on self-reported sleep data.
