Robot-Assisted Surgical Technology in Plastic Surgery: Evolution, Clinical Applications, and Future Perspectives.
Review in Aesthetic plastic surgery, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 1 paper.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
backgroundRobot-assisted surgery has shown broad applications in plastic surgery. It offers enhanced precision and stability compared with conventional techniques. This review summarizes the technological evolution, clinical applications, and future perspectives of robotic systems in this field.
methodsA comprehensive literature was conducted to identify studies focusing on robot-assisted surgical procedures in plastic surgery. The development of several representative robotic systems was reviewed alongside their clinical use in breast reconstruction, microsurgery, craniofacial reconstruction, and hair transplantation.
resultsRobot-assisted surgery has significantly improved surgical accuracy, reduced complication rates, and enhanced postoperative recovery in plastic surgery. However, limitations such as high costs, technical complexity, and the absence of haptic feedback remain major challenges. Advances in artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), and haptic sensing my help reduce system complexity, enhance sensory interaction, and improve the efficiency and accessibility of robotic-assisted surgery.
conclusionsRobot-assisted surgery is advancing plastic and reconstructive surgery through improved precision and visualization. Integration of AI, AR, and haptic feedback technologies may further enhance its safety, efficiency, and clinical application.
