Gut Microbiota and Ferroptosis in Colorectal Cancer: A Comprehensive Review of Mechanisms and Therapeutic Strategies to Overcome Immune Checkpoint Resistance.
Review in Biomolecules, 2025. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 3 papers.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
Colorectal cancer (CRC) remains a leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide. Although immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have achieved striking clinical efficacy in the subset of CRCs with mismatch repair deficiency/high microsatellite instability (dMMR/MSI-H), the vast majority of patients-those with proficient mismatch repair/microsatellite-stable (pMMR/MSS) tumors-derive little benefit from current immunotherapies. Ferroptosis, an iron-dependent form of regulated cell death driven by lethal accumulation of lipid peroxides, has emerged as a promising antitumor mechanism that can interact with and modulate antitumor immunity. Concurrently, the gut microbiota exerts powerful control over host metabolism and immune tone through microbial community structure and metabolite production; accumulating evidence indicates that microbiota-derived factors can either sensitize tumors to ferroptosis (for example, via short-chain fatty acids) or confer resistance (for example, indole-3-acrylic acid produced by
