Seminal parameters of patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus undergoing Assisted Reproduction: A retrospective analysis.
Article in JBRA assisted reproduction, 2025. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Not yet cited in PubMed.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
objectiveThis study aims to investigate the impact of T2DM on the seminal parameters of patients undergoing assisted reproduction techniques.
methodsA retrospective analysis of medical records was conducted at the at our institution from January 2017 to January 2022, including data on patients age, presence of Type 1 or T2DM, prediabetes, and seminal parameters such as concentration, Kruger morphology, motility, pH, ejaculate volume, and sperm DNA fragmentation.
resultsSeminal parameters of patients with T2DM did not show significant differences compared to patients with normal controls. Conversely, evaluation of HbA1c as a continuous variable in our linear regression model indicated that this parameter was associated with elevated sperm DNA fragmentation.
conclusionsT2DM was not found to be a determining factor in the deterioration of overall seminal quality in patients undergoing assisted reproduction techniques, with a potential negative effect on sperm DNA fragmentation.
