Parkinson's disease (PD) remains without effective disease-modifying therapies, primarily due to limited understanding of its underlying mechanisms. Emerging evidence suggests that dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors (DPP-4Is), commonly used as anti-diabetics, may offer neuroprotective effects.
