Caveolin-1 is upregulated in gastric cancer and is associated with tumor progression and prognosis in patients.
Article in International journal of clinical and experimental pathology, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Not yet cited in PubMed.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
backgroundAlthough some studies have reported on the expression of caveolin-1 (CAV-1) in gastric cancer, the role and clinical importance of CAV-1 in gastric cancer are still controversial.
methodsIn total, 154 paraffin-embedded gastric cancer tissue samples and 70 paired normal gastric tissue samples from the pathology department of our hospital were collected from January 2011 to December 2014. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of CAV-1 in gastric cancer and normal gastric tissue, and its relationship with various clinical pathological characteristics and the prognosis of gastric cancer was analyzed.
resultsGastric cancer tissue expressed CAV-1 in 21.4% (33/154) of cases but it was not expressed in normal gastric tissue (0%, 0/70) (
conclusionHigh expression of CAV-1 in gastric cancer tissue is associated with poor prognosis and may be a potential biological marker for anti-gastric cancer treatment.
