Abstract

Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a multifactorial cardiometabolic condition characterized by insulin resistance, visceral adiposity, dyslipidemia, hypertension, and chronic low-grade inflammation, collectively increasing the risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and cardiovascular disease. Growing interest has focused on plant-derived dietary strategies capable of targeting multiple pathogenic pathways simultaneously.
