Biweekly carboplatin plus nab-paclitaxel with concurrent radiotherapy followed by durvalumab consolidation for unresectable locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer: a real-world retrospective cohort study.
Article in Translational lung cancer research, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Not yet cited in PubMed.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
Background: Durvalumab consolidation following concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CRT) is the standard treatment for locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (LA-NSCLC). We previously reported the efficacy of biweekly carboplatin plus nab-paclitaxel with concurrent radiotherapy (RT). Here, we present an evaluation of the real-world efficacy and safety of durvalumab consolidation after this CRT regimen, including a subgroup analysis of patients aged ≥75 years. Methods: This two-center retrospective cohort study included patients with unresectable LA-NSCLC who received biweekly carboplatin plus nab-paclitaxel with concurrent RT between April 1, 2018 and March 31, 2022. We evaluated efficacy and adverse events over the course of CRT and durvalumab consolidation. Subgroup analyses compared outcomes between patients aged <75 years and patients aged ≥75 years. Results: The study cohort included 75 patients: 52 were in the younger group (<75 years) and 23 were in the older group (≥75 years). From durvalumab initiation, the median progression-free survival was 16.0 months, and the median overall survival was 37.5 months. Transition to durvalumab consolidation was achieved in 88.0% of all patients and 78.3% of the older subgroup. All-grade pneumonitis occurred in 69.7% of all patients and grade ≥3 pneumonitis occurred in 12.1%. Although the transition and completion rates of durvalumab consolidation were lower in the older group, there were no significant differences in survival outcomes and treatment-related toxicities were generally manageable. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that biweekly carboplatin plus nab-paclitaxel with concurrent RT followed by durvalumab consolidation may provide favorable efficacy and acceptable tolerability in patients with LA-NSCLC, including those aged ≥75 years. This regimen may represent a feasible treatment option.
