objectivesThis is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows: To evaluate the benefits and harms of metformin therapy initiated prior to conception and continued through the first trimester for women with polycystic ovary syndrome, compared with placebo or no metformin treatment, on pregnancy outcomes.
