Characterizing the molecular mechanism of the PmIDD5-PmbHLH130-PmCOL5 transcriptional cascade on flowering in Prunus mume.
Article in BMC plant biology, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Not yet cited in PubMed.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
backgroundPrunus mume is an important woody ornamental and fruit tree of Rosaceae. Elucidating the molecular regulatory network of its flowering is of great significance for genetic improvement. The basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) and INDETERMINATE DOMAIN (IDD) transcription factors play vital roles in plant development processes, while their regulatory cascades in Prunus mume remain largely unclear.
resultsThis study reports a bHLH transcription factor PmbHLH130 in Prunus mume, whose transcription level responds to photoperiod, and which is predominantly expressed in leaves. Subcellular localization and transcriptional activity assays revealed that PmbHLH130 is a nuclear-localized transcriptional activator. Overexpressed PmbHLH130 significantly promotes flowering in transgenic Arabidopsis. PmbHLH130 acts downstream of several central oscillator proteins and PmIDD5, and directly activates the expression of PmCOL5.
conclusionThis study reveals that PmIDD5-PmbHLH130-PmCOL5 transcriptional cascade provides a molecular basis for understanding flowering regulation. These findings provide new insights into the molecular mechanisms of flowering control in woody plants and offer a potential framework for molecular breeding of Prunus mume.
