Abstract

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) ranks as the most common type of primary liver cancer, characterized by rapid tumor growth and therapeutic resistance. Evading cell death is a key characteristic of multiple cancers, including HCC. Many programmed cell death (PCD) processes, comprising apoptosis, autophagy, necroptosis, and ferroptosis, have been identified to affect tumor growth and recurrence of HCC.
