[Scientific output of the Revista Médica del IMSS in PubMed (2005-2025): a bibliometric analysis].
Article in Revista medica del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 1 paper.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
Background: Bibliometrics allows for the evaluation of the editorial performance and thematic organization of health journals with an institutional function. Objective: To analyze the scientific output of the IMSS Medical Journal, indexed in PubMed (2005-2025), to describe its temporal evolution and publication patterns (productivity, typology, authorship, citations, and topics). Materials and methods: A descriptive and longitudinal bibliometric study was conducted using records retrieved from PubMed. Indicator processing was performed using Anne O' Tate; thematic analysis was based on the co-occurrence of keywords and MeSH terms, with clustering and visualization in VOSviewer. Results: A total of 2,661 articles were identified. Annual output showed variations, with a peak in 2023 (205), followed by 2024 (171) and 2025 (107). Observational clinical-epidemiological designs predominated. Authorship was primarily collaborative (average: 4.1; median: 4), with a concentration in teams of 3-6 authors. Production was centralized in Mexico, particularly in Mexico City (1276). 47.65% of articles received ≥ 1 citation (iCite), with an estimated 3,592 citations and 1.35 citations per article. Conclusions: The journal exhibits a predominantly national, territorially centralized, and methodologically observational profile, with concentrated citations and a broad thematic agenda. These findings provide evidence to guide thematic priorities and actions to strengthen editorial quality and visibility.
