Abstract

Congenital hyperinsulinism (CHI) is a rare genetic disorder causing hypoglycemia due to excessive insulin secretion. Managing dental care in children with CHI is challenging due to the risk of hypoglycemic episodes and the need for meticulous perioperative planning. This report discusses the dental management of a 3-year-old with CHI requiring treatment for multiple carious lesions, emphasizing the importance of multidisciplinary coordination and vigilant glucose monitoring for safe and effective care.
