1 · What the graph read from it

What it found

Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.

The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.

2 · The registry

The trial behind it

Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract

Background: Postoperative hemorrhage is a serious problem that impacts patient recovery. While current hemostatic agents are effective, they also pose a thrombosis risk. Therefore, it is critical to develop safe and natural nutritional intervention strategies. Objective: This study examines the regulatory effect of eumelanin from the skin of farm-raised giant salamanders (GS) on coagulation homeostasis and assesses its potential as a dietary supplement for postoperative recovery. Methods: The structure and biosafety of GS eumelanin were analyzed using SEM-EDS and FTIR, along with various other detection methods. Male Wistar rats (114) were used to evaluate coagulation function and for metabolomic analysis. We assessed tail bleeding parameters and coagulation indices at 2 and 24 h after treatment and analyzed intestinal metabolites 2 h after gavage. Results: SEM-EDS analysis reveals that the GS eumelanin has an irregular aggregated structure with Ca Conclusion: This study reveals that GS eumelanin regulates coagulation homeostasis through its nanostructure and intestinal metabolites. Our results provide a nutritional basis for using natural eumelanin as a functional food ingredient to help manage the risk of postoperative bleeding.
