Extranodal Organ Involvement in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia: Clinical Features and Outcomes With Bruton Tyrosine Kinase and BCL-2 Inhibitors.
Article in Cancer medicine, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Not yet cited in PubMed.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
backgroundAlthough chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) typically follows an indolent course involving blood, lymph nodes, and bone marrow, extranodal organ involvement is rare and poorly characterized.
methodsWe retrospectively analyzed 19 patients with histologically confirmed extranodal CLL or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL), assessing organ involvement, clinical features, genetic risk factors, and response to therapy.
resultsDifferent organs were affected, most frequently the kidneys (7/19). Median age at initial CLL diagnosis was 54 years, median time from CLL diagnosis to extranodal manifestation was 3 years. Genetic risk factors were comparable to typical CLL cohorts. Per treatment episode, exploratory overall response rate (ORR) for Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitors (BTKi) was 88.9% (8/9); median progression-free survival (PFS) from treatment initiation was 29 months. For venetoclax-based regimens, ORR was 83.3% (5/6) and median PFS 52 months.
conclusionsThese data suggest meaningful activity of BTK and BCL-2 inhibitors in CLL/SLL with extranodal organ involvement.
