Effect of aerobic training on apoptosis biomarkers and cardiac wall stress in healthy and streptozotocin-induced diabetic male rats.
Article in American heart journal plus : cardiology research and practice, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Not yet cited in PubMed.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
Background: Diabetes mellitus is a major risk factor for cardiovascular complications, including diabetic cardiomyopathy, characterized by increased cardiac apoptosis and wall stress. Aerobic training is a crucial lifestyle intervention for prevention and management. This study investigated the effects of eight weeks of progressive aerobic training on cardiac apoptosis biomarkers (sFas, FasL, Caspase 8, Bcl-2) and cardiac wall stress (NT-proBNP) in diabetic and healthy male Wistar rats. Methods: Forty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups: control, diabetic control, 8-week aerobic, and 8-week diabetic aerobic. Diabetes was induced by a single intraperitoneal injection of Streptozotocin (55 mg/kg). Aerobic training involved progressive treadmill running (3 sessions/week) for 8 weeks. Heart tissue levels of sFas, FasL, Caspase 8, Bcl-2, and NT-proBNP were measured by ELISA. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and Tukey's post-hoc tests. Results: Diabetes induction significantly elevated sFas, FasL, Caspase-8, and NT-proBNP levels compared to healthy controls ( Conclusion: Eight weeks of progressive aerobic training effectively mitigates diabetes-induced cardiac apoptosis and wall stress by modulating key apoptotic pathways in male rats. These findings highlight the significant potential of sustained aerobic exercise as a crucial non-pharmacological strategy in preventing and managing diabetic cardiomyopathy.
