Characterization of erythroblastic island and tissue macrophages using a novel CD169-tdTomato-Cre mouse model and scRNA-seq.
Article in Blood red cells & iron, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Not yet cited in PubMed.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
Macrophages play diverse roles, including supporting erythropoiesis. CD169 is a specific marker for macrophages. However, recent studies showed that anti-CD169 staining detected nonmacrophages, raising the concern for using anti-CD169 antibody to correctly assign macrophages. Genetically engineered mouse models provide another means of monitoring gene expression. However, no mouse model is currently available to directly monitor CD169 expression. Erythropoiesis relies on macrophage-mediated iron recycling for iron supply. Although it is established that spleen (SP) macrophages play critical roles in erythrophagocytosis and iron recycling, whether and how other tissue macrophages are involved remain incompletely understood. To address these issues, we generated CD169-tdTomato-Cre mice. We also compared various tissue macrophages by single-cell RNA sequencing, flow cytometry, and cytospin analyses. We showed that CD169-tdTomato was detected and that CD169-Cre-mediated recombination occurred only in macrophages. Notably, bone marrow (BM) F4/80
