Post-treatment serologic, cerebrospinal fluid, MRI, and salivary antibody responses in HIV-negative neurosyphilis: a retrospective study.
Article in Frontiers in neurology, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Not yet cited in PubMed.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
Objectives: This study aimed to characterize longitudinal serologic, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), MRI, and salivary antibody responses after treatment in HIV-negative neurosyphilis. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 73 HIV-negative adults treated for neurosyphilis from June 2021 to June 2025. Survival endpoints were defined as time to first documented serologic response or CSF normalization. Paired baseline and 12-month saliva samples were available for 25 patients. Cox models were exploratory, and longitudinal MRI findings were analyzed descriptively. Results: Among 25 patients with paired saliva samples, salivary antibody OD decreased at 12 months (estimated paired decrease, 0.36 OD units; 95% CI, 0.14-0.64) and showed a modest correlation with the decline in serum TRUST titer (Spearman Conclusion: The post-treatment decline in salivary anti-
