Genome sequence and phylogenetic characterization of a Fusarium oxysporum mitovirus 2 variant from the Canary Islands, Spain.
Article in Archives of virology, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Not yet cited in PubMed.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
We report the complete coding genome sequence of Fusarium oxysporum mitovirus 2-like (FoMV2-like; GenBank accession PZ600027; BioProject ID 3036262), a variant of FoMV2, identified in a Fusarium oxysporum strain isolated from Phytolacca dioica (ombú) in the Canary Islands, Spain. The positive-sense single-stranded RNA genome is 2,363 nucleotides in length and contains a single open reading frame encoding a 713-amino acid RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp). Pairwise genome comparisons revealed 87.33% nucleotide identity with FoMV2, while the predicted RdRp shared 82.19% amino acid identity with its closest relative. Phylogenetic analysis based on RdRp amino acid sequences placed FoMV2-like within a strongly supported clade with FoMV2 (ultrafast bootstrap = 100), supporting its classification as a variant rather than a distinct species according to current ICTV demarcation criteria for members of the family Mitoviridae. This study documents the first occurrence of a FoMV2-related sequence in a F. oxysporum isolate associated with P. dioica and represents the first record of this viral lineage in the Canary Islands, Spain. The sequence reported here contributes to the growing genomic diversity of mitoviruses associated with Fusarium species and provides a resource for future comparative and evolutionary studies.
